Are you an experienced Arboricultural Consultant looking for an exciting opportunity to shape and develop an arboricultural service within an established ecological consultancy?
Arun Ecology is seeking a Senior Arboricultural Consultant to join our expert team as our first in-house arboricultural specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional to take a leading role in arboricultural consultancy work while collaborating closely with our ecologists.
Job Description
As our Senior Arboricultural Consultant, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking BS5837:2012 tree surveys for planning applications and development projects.
- Producing high-quality arboriculture reports, impact assessments, and method statements.
- Advising clients on tree constraints, mitigation strategies, and arboricultural best practices.
- Liaising with developers, planners, and local authorities to provide expert arboricultural guidance.
- Managing projects from start to completion, preparing fee quotes and managing project budgets.
- Supporting the growth of our arboricultural services and developing client relationships.
What We’re Looking For
- A passionate consultant who has a focus on quality, with a minimum 5 years’ experience in an arboricultural consultancy or a similar role related to planning.
- Level 4 or higher qualification in Arboriculture.
- Demonstrable experience in report writing, inclusive but not limited to Arboricultural Reports, Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements.
- Proven experience in project management and liaising with clients.
- Strong working knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation relevant to arboriculture.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
- Membership or eligibility to membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. The Arboricultural Association).
- Proficiency in CAD.
- PTI qualification (desirable).
