Habitat Assessments
Habitat Assessments form an important component in establishing the baseline ecology of a site as part of Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments for your project.
Habitat Assessments are often a standard requirement for Local Planning Authorities when assessing planning applications.

The Habitat Assessments Aims
The aims of Habitat Assessments are as follows:
- To provide rapid assessments of the habitats on-site and to determine their ecological value, identifying if any protected habitats are present
- Identify if more detailed botanical surveys are required for protected plants and important plant communities
- To assess habitats for their suitability to act as ecological receptors for protected species
- To monitor sites as part of on-going habitat management and legally binding agreements
